Idealseal MS290 Polymer is the ultimate all-round sealant and adhesive based on new MS Polymer Technology offering a durable, flexible, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional sealants, adhesives and putty. MS290 uses an anti-pick, non-toxic, low V.O.C. formulation; free of isocyanates, solvents and silicones. It has excellent adhesion to dry and wet surfaces without the risk of shrinkage or bubbling and will even cure underwater. In addition it is paintable with all common paints, odourless, neutral and is suitable for food contact. Tested and approved for use with self-cleaning glass and in food preparation areas by ISEGA to EN1186, EN13130 and CEN/TS 14234.
Application:
Surfaces must be clean and dust free. Cut the cartridge seal and screw on nozzle which should be cut to required size. Gun the sealant firmly into joint ensuring no air is trapped behind. If required place masking tape along joint edges, removing within 10 minutes of application. Tool using a spatula or stick wetted with soapy water within 10 minutes of application. For gluing applications, apply adhesive in vertical lines at a distance of 30cm. Support application for 24 hours until full curing occurs.
Uses:
Idealseal MS290 is suitable for virtually any application where a sealant, adhesive or filler is required. It will seal and bond glass including self-cleaning glass, porcelain, coated metal, epoxy and polyester panels, EPDM, plastics, fibreglass, vinyl, PVCu, stainless steel, anodised aluminium and finished wood. It also has excellent anti-pick qualities making this product suitable for use in correctional institutions and areas where vandalism of sealant may occur. Furthermore it may be used safely in food preparation areas and cold storage.
