Tornado Clearwater Flocculant - For crystal clear water. This flocculant is used to clarify water and make it sparkle. It sinks microscopic particles that make the water look muddy, cloudy or green to the bottom leaving you with crystal clear water. This highly charged inorganic polymer also binds and sinks phosphorous making it unavailable for algae growth. It uses tiny amounts of alkalinity compared to regular alum products thereby reducing or eliminating the risk of pH drop making it safer to use with fish and other aquatic life. Clearwater Flocculant works satisfactorily over pH range of 5.0 - 8.0.
Suggested Dose Rates
Small water bodies - Fish ponds, stock troughs, Water features
10 ml per 1000 litres
Large water bodies - Dams, Lakes, Lagoons
20 Litres per Mega litre (1 million litres)
These dose rates are suggestions only and will vary according to site specific conditions.
How to use
First dilute 1 lt of pond water of pond/dam water to 10 ml of Clearwater Flocculant, then pour or spray over the entire surface of water. Thorough mixing and circulating is then required by pump, aerator or motor boat so that the product has contact with the small particles will become visible and increase to the size of match head particles. At this point mixing should be stopped to allow the particles to settle overnight. Repeat the process if needed. Good initial coverage and thorough mixing will result in faster, better results and less product used.
